I know what she's hiding
Underneath that wide smile
She is not telling me

Today I cried
She never smiled once
She just sat there and wallowed
In Silence

Her head lay on my shoulder
Yet I did not know how to comfort her
I gave her a quick pat
But I know that is not nearly enough

I feel helpless around her

I hate sitting here

While I watch her drown in
